About Maker Fair

MakerFair is a unique platform with opportunities for the innovators, makers, and creators to showcase their marvelous products to the international community. Teams with enthusiasm and determination of inventing and showcasing their innovative ideas which are capable from ideation to commercialization are invited to register for this event.

In 2021, MakerFair Track have goals to achieve maximum goals which can be helpful to the world regarding the problems World has been facing in recent times under the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Maker Fair Features

Maker Fair is a celebration of innovators, makers, doers coming together to showcase their products to the local community. All types of makers like Tech enthusiasts, Crafters, Tinkerers, Hobbyists are part of this track. Students from different technical universities are eligible to participate in Maker Fair.

UN Sustainable Development Goals from Ideation to Commercialization



Points to be noted by the participants (rules & general procedure):



  • Team size: Maximum of 4 members.
  • Team members may come from different academic institutions/industries and from different countries. Only the registered members of the team will be given certificates. Mentor names should also accompany the team registration.
  • Teams shall display their working projects in the venue, explain and demonstrate to the audience and evaluators.
  • The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: Challenge, Innovation, Usability, and Extendibility.
  • Teams are locked along with abstract submission, and no further changes to team membership and mentors can be made after that.
  • Each team is solely responsible for its own cooperation and teamwork.

Stage 1: Call for abstracts

Abstract submission is opened to anybody who is interested in taking part for Maker Fair. Call for abstracts will go globally. Participants should submit their abstracts through the online form (available in website). Potential and innovative projects are selected for the finals and the teams are intimated via mail.

Stage 2: Finals

Selected teams will present their project works before the jury during the finals. Evaluation will be carried out based on the criteria.
